Earn $80–$150 an Hour as a Swim Coach — First Students Guaranteed in 60 Days, Or It's Free.
most courses hand you a certificate, we hand you students
Most Certifications Teach You How to Coach - Not How to Get Paid for It.
You pass the test. You frame the certificate. And then you’re standing at the pool with no students, no pipeline, and no idea how to get your first one.
Coaches don’t fail because they can’t teach. They fail because no one ever taught them how to get students.
The certificate was never the hard part. The pipeline is.
That’s the exact part we built our entire programme around.

What Swim Coaches in Singapore Actually Earn
Swim coaches in Singapore typically earn $80-$150 per hour, depending on how many students are in the class
| Class size | You earn / hour |
|---|---|
| 1 student | $80 |
| 2 students | $100 |
| 3 students | $130 |
| 4 students | $150 |
A single Saturday morning
Four back-to-back classes at $120-$150 = roughly $480-$600 before lunch.
Building part-time
A handful of weekend classes puts most coaches in the $1,500-$3,000 a month range while they grow.
Committed, full roster
At these rates, ~10-12 hours of classes a week clears $5,000-$8,000 a month – and the strongest coaches reach $8,000-$10,000.
These are typical ranges for active coaches, not a promise of income – what you earn depends on your class sizes, schedule, and location. The higher figures reflect full-time coaches with established rosters. What we guarantee is the placement that gets you started.
You Don't Need to Be a Pro. Just a Confident Swimmer Ready to Start.
The Career Switcher
You’re done with the desk, the boss, the burnout. You’ve been swimming for years. This is a low-cost, fast way to test a real income stream without betting everything. Keep your job, coach on weekends, and see for yourself before you leap.
The Student
You swam through school, and you’d rather earn $80–$150 an hour doing something you love than work a minimum-wage shift. Flexible hours that fit around classes. Income your parents can actually see.
The Returner & Retiree
You’ve got decades in the water and time to give. Parents often prefer a patient, experienced coach. This keeps you purposeful, social, and earning — on your own terms, with no boss.
The one thing we ask: you can swim 400m continuously and you’re committed to finishing the programme. The rest, we teach you.

Frequently Asked Questions About the SSI Swimming Instructor Course In Singapore
Do I need prior coaching experience?
No. You need to be a proficient swimmer (2 strokes minimum) and committed to finishing. The course starts from zero and builds you to a ready-to-teach standard through supervised attachment classes.
Is the student guarantee actually real?
Yes. Pass your evaluation, and we place paying students with you within 60 days, or we refund your course fee. The full terms are in your enrolment agreement, so you know exactly where you stand before you start.
Is this a scam? It sounds too good.
Fair question. It’s the right thing to ask about anything involving money. The certification is a real, internationally recognised SSI qualification. The students are real people who pay you directly, we never touch your fees. We make our money on the certification, and we only succeed long-term if our coaches do, which is why we guarantee placements. On a call, we’ll walk you through exactly how it works before you commit a cent.
Do I work for Swimwerks?
No. You’re an independent coach running your own business. Students pay you directly, you set your own schedule, you keep 100% of lesson fees. We handle marketing and student matching.
What Are The Age Requirements For Enrolling In A Swimming Instructor Course In Singapore?
You must be at least 16 years old before enrolling in a swimming instructor course.
Where do I teach?
At condominiums across Singapore, matched to your location and availability, so you’re not travelling across the island for every lesson.
What if I fail the final evaluation?
You get clear, specific feedback and can re-attempt. We don’t place you until you’re genuinely ready, that protects your confidence, your students, and your reputation.
Is intake unlimited?
No. And this matters. We cap each intake to protect the guarantee. If we onboard more coaches than we can place, the guarantee breaks. Once spots are full, the next cohort opens at the next intake date.
How long until I start earning?
Most coaches complete the programme and receive their first placement within 60 days of starting. As soon as you pass and accept a match, you can begin teaching and collecting fees.
How much can I realistically earn?
Coaches typically earn $80–$150 an hour, depending on class size, $80 for a 1-on-1, up to $150 for a class of four. Part-time on weekends, most are in the $1,500–$3,000/month range. Around 10–12 hours a week puts coaches at $5,000–$8,000/month, and the strongest, full-schedule coaches reach $8,000–$10,000.
How Up-To-Date Is The Curriculum In Your Swimming Instructor Course?
Our curriculum is regularly updated to reflect the latest in swim teaching methodologies and safety practices, ensuring you’re learning the most current techniques.
After the two guaranteed student placements, how do I get more students?
Members of our community get priority access to new student leads. As leads come in, we offer them first to our network before they’re released publicly, so you get a consistent edge in filling your roster. (Standard referral fees apply to these priority placements.)
